How to request a window tinting quote
Dimensions, photos, glazing and access: what to send for a useful quote that you can compare.
Measure individual panes
For an initial estimate, record the visible glass width and height of each pane in metres. Pane area is width × height; identical panes can be grouped by quantity. These are preliminary measurements, not instructions for cutting film yourself. Include an overall photo and pictures of individual windows.
Add the goal and access conditions
State the city, property type, floor level, sloped windows, opening sashes and access to the glass. Include known coatings or insulated-glass details. Explain the desired result and when the problem occurs. Keep a precise address out of public posts; it can be agreed separately before a visit.
Compare what is included
A price per square metre is useful alongside the product name, work scope and installation conditions. Ask about preparation, old-film removal where needed, difficult access, timing and warranty. Clarify the applicable rate at an area-band boundary. The final budget is confirmed after measurement checks and solution selection.
